Question by Tommy: What is a good camera for lego stop motion animation?
I want to make a series of lego stop motion on youtube, but the camera I use goes out of focus pretty easily. I can’t zoom in too far on the lego characters’ faces. So I’m looking for a camera that is good. Not looking for the most expensive camera or best, but one that is good quality and cheaper than others.

A dslr with manual focus switchable lens, tripod and self timer.
If you get a Canon you can control capture (expsoure, focus etc) from a laptop with whats in the box.
No Flat Pieces,
This 650 piece set is pretty good. It’s all just bricks and seems to have about 3:1 ratio of small 1×4 and 1×2 bricks to 2×2 and 2×3. So if you are looking for the small narrow pieces this set has more of those. Also its just bricks, there’s no flat pieces and no wheels or other special pieces. That said, this an ideal supplement for the many Lego games which in my opinion benefit from the smaller pieces. The price is pretty great too.

Be sure to shop around for this easy to find item. Target, Walmart and the online LEGO store carry the same kit for less than thirty bucks. It’s a shame that private sellers charge SO MUCH MORE.
If your an old school LEGO builder and you need plenty of basic bricks, this is the set for you. No specialized angles or smooth pieces here. Just bricks. If you’ve got plenty of the new sets with all the specialized pieces, this is the kit to round out your inventory and start creating your own designs.
